May they stand fast in the true grace of God.  1 Peter 5:12
LORD God, I want to serve You with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all things.  Deuteronomy 28:47
Dear Lord, I do not always have the motivation to do fully the work needed to be done. So I ask You to enable me to grow in discipline and do the necessary work; not just when people have their eye on me, or to win their favour, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for You Lord. My prayer is that increasingly, in whatever I do, I work at it with all my heart as working for You Lord, not for men. May I bear in mind that it is You I am serving. When I feel resentful that others are getting away with less work, or burdens, may I remember that anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favouritism with You Lord.  Colossians 3:22-25
I do not want to be as one who watches the wind and will not plant, or looks at the clouds and so will not reap. Please show me where I am guilty of procrastinating, or fearful of taking a chance, and enable me to repent.  Ecclesiastes 11:4
Holy Spirit, please reveal to me the areas in my life where I need to cleanse myself, so that I may be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.  1 John 1:9 2 Timothy 2:21
I want to be a good and faithful servant of Yours Jesus, please help me not to boast beyond proper limits, but confine my boasting to the field God has assigned to me, nor to boast of work done by others.  2 Corinthians 10:13,15
Lord, I want to excel in faith, speech, knowledge, complete earnestness, in love, in grace of giving, for this will test the sincerity of my love.  2 Corinthians 8:7-8
Holy Spirit, please direct and anoint the teachings to our part of the body of Christ so that we may be built up, becoming more mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ, for the sake of the gospel.  Ephesians 4:12-13 1 Corinthians 9:23
Please help me to consider my life worth nothing to me, so that I may finish the race and accomplish the task that the Lord Jesus has given to me - the task of testifying to the good news of the Lord's grace.  Acts 20:24
Jesus, You too were rejected by men, please help me to lay aside my fears and remember that I was called to be a member of a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God. So I will now declare Your praises.  1 Peter 2:4,9
